Crop Loss and Refunds
-
Farming is always at the mercy of Mother Nature, and while we take every precaution to protect our crops, unforeseen weather events like hail, frost, or drought can affect the harvest. If a significant weather event occurs, we’ll communicate with our CSA members about the impact and any necessary adjustments to deliveries.
-
If specific crops are damaged, we may substitute with other seasonal items or adjust the balance between flowers and vegetables. In extreme cases, we’ll communicate any changes directly with you.
-
Flowers like ranunculus and anemone are highly seasonal and sensitive to heat, meaning their availability is naturally limited. If they are unavailable in your Spring Deluxe subscription due to weather conditions, we’ll either 100% refund your Spring Deluxe subscription or include other fresh blooms in your share to make up for it. Your choice.
-
We’re committed to providing value to our subscription members even in challenging seasons. If a major loss impacts the season drastically, we’ll work with members on possible solutions, such as refunds, credits, or additional offerings in future seasons.
-
We take proactive measures like using frost covers, row covers, and irrigation systems to protect our crops from weather extremes. Our farm practices are designed to maximize resilience while maintaining a sustainable and pesticide-free environment.
-
Absolutely. Transparency is very important to us. If a weather event or other issue arises, we’ll keep you updated through email or text messages about the impact and any adjustments to your subscription.
